Throughout the year SIV participate in various activities. Farm days, like those in Gippsland are attended by the SIV staff to promote the Victorian seafood and fishing industry. Attending these events also raises awareness of the services SIV can provide and offer to fishing and seafood cooperatives and associations.
SIV attends most seminars that are relative to the fishing and seafood industry as a representative for all associated members and groups. Information is then relayed back to members and appropriate action is taken if necessary.
